At the same torque rating, the S series planetary architecture reduces housing volume and mass by 40–60% versus a conventional spiral gearbox. This reduces structural load on machine frames and simplifies installation.

Every frame size in the range is individually optimised for torque distribution — not simply scaled up from a single design. This means each size delivers its rated 10,000-hour torque without oversizing the unit.

The modular design builds customised gearbox configurations from standard components — keeping lead times and unit costs predictable even on non-standard specifications. Adapter flanges and couplings are available for most electric and hydraulic motors.

Gear design complies with ISO 6336. The series carries DNV type approval and ABS Product Design Assessment (PDA). Additional certifications from other institutions can be obtained based on project-specific requirements.

All S series units can be equipped with a negative (spring-applied, hydraulically released) multi-disc parking brake — providing fail-safe load holding for crane, winch, and marine applications where power-off braking is a safety requirement.

Every unit undergoes a no-load run-in followed by a full rated-torque bench test before shipment. Signed test report included with every order. Units that do not pass the test are not shipped.

Anchor windlass drives, mooring winch drives, deck crane slewing drives, and thruster gearboxes where DNV type approval is mandatory. The S series carries DNV and ABS PDA certification — reducing project documentation burden for ship equipment procurement.
